The night of the Supermoon. This time it was all three of us, Me, Todd and Butch. This was another of Todd's finds. This was the furthest I have ever gone for a shoot. On the way there we kinda got lost, but finally found the site. The buildings here (except the jail) are recreations of the buildings that were here in the 1870's rebuilt on the same foundations that the originals were.

It was at Shaunissy's Saloon in Fort Griffin that Wyatt Earp first met Doc Holliday.

The Woodson Suspension Bridge. Built in 1896 to allow the transport of cattle across the Brazos River. It now sits condemned and in ruin. This was about 30-45 minutes away from Fort Griffin.

Another outting with just Todd and me. His agenda this evening. He knew of an abandoned school in far North Texas and also he wanted to go shoot the wind turbines just north of Meunster. On the way from the school to the turbines, we passed this car sitting in front of this property, pointing into the corner. This is the reason I had to shoot the whole car in a 3 shot pano, laying on my back in the mud up against the fence.
As you can imagine, they do not put these turbines in places where it is not windy. Once the sun went down, it was bitterly cold. We would hop out of the car and shoot for about 5 minutes, then have to get back in the car and spend 10 minutes warming up. All in the name of ART!

For a sense of scale, the black and tan 'spots' on the horizon are cows. These turbines are HUGE!

Cowboy Stadium AKA Jerry World - Nightshoot
I wanted to shoot Jerry World, AKA Cowboy Stadium. On this shoot, I forgot to charge my batteries. I ran out of power about 1/3 of the way into this evening. Fortunately Butch had a second charged battery and equally fortunate that it fit both his 50D and my 40D.
One of these is a self portrait of sorts.

This was my first ever night shoot. Also the first time I met Todd (http://twilightscapes.com/) and Butch. All shots taken from the rooftop of an undisclosed 25 story building. This shot Butch set up and wrote a post looking for a couple of people to share the experience with. We had to promise not to disclose the location of this building. Sorry, I have no EXIF for any of these - I will check my logs and post this later.
